http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/johnny_lee_demos_wii_remote_hacks.html

This is a video where Johnny Lee uses less than $100 in hardware (basically parts from a Wii Remote and some addition pieces) to create outstanding revolutionary computer science ideas and things that could very well revolutionize the way we use computers or play video games. Just think of how things like this can and are being applied in computer science today and all of the outstanding possibilities things like this bring.

My school actually has about a dozen of those interactive whiteboards called Smartboards, they are all based on his idea. They aren't exactly set up the way he has them, but its pretty close to it. They really are very innovative and help improve learning capability in the classroom.

Schools around where I live have smartboards too but like he had mentioned, things like that can run thousands of dollars per board and loading a school with them would be expensive. He is just showing how using a few "simple" commonly accepted technologies can be used and adapted to create wild new innovations.

Yeah, those existed before Johnny's idea and aren't based on his tech.  They are also very expensive.

This :)

Smartboards run thousands of dollars a piece. This is a low costing, lower performing variation of smartboard technology. Also the 3D thing he did was awesome
